Q: What is Shungo Foods?
Shungo Foods is a web-based organic grocery store and nutrition shop directed to the Cuencano market, in Ecuador. We are organizing to help dozens of top-quality food and vegetable producers so that they don’t have the workload of finding a business model and managing a logistics system to be able to reach their desired clientele.
Many producers struggle to go around and work in different fairs to be able to promote, market and sell their products, which can cost them quite a bit every year. Having to travel to fairs back and forth and moving merchandise around can end up in unplanned costs and losses, so that’s where we come in to help.
So, you can start by browsing our shop and adding to the cart the products and their correct amount as you wish to order. Then you proceed to review your cart and hit checkout when you have there everything you need.
Q: How do I place an order on Shungo Foods?
A: You go into the shop, which is found in the menu, and once you see the selection of products available, browse and add to cart to your desire. Then, go to your cart, review your order and go to the checkout.
Q: How will you know my address?
A: In the checkout section you will find the text fields to put all your delivery information. Please be as comprehensive as you can on the typical Cuencano address; street and number, cross street, house or building name and apartment number, and if you don’t know your postal code, just use a random set of 6 figures.
Q. What days and times do you deliver?
We only deliver from Monday through Friday in the late afternoon and evening hours. So, starting at 6:00 PM and at the most by around 8:00 PM you should have your order at home. Any order made on a Friday afternoon will be delivered on Monday.
If we need to make a different arrangement for your order due to logistical reasons, we will reach out.
Q: How do I pay?
A: The option to pay at the moment is cash-on-delivery. You pay when you get the delivery directly to the motorcycle delivery guy.
Q: How long does it take to get the delivery?
A: If you order well before noon, there is a high chance you will get the delivery by that same evening. If we need to take longer than that to deliver, we will contact you directly and let you know. Please be sure to add proper contact information to your order so we can reach you when needed.
Shipping
Q: How is my order delivered?
A: We count with some of the best and most reliable delivery motorcyclists who will be taking your groceries carefully, to you. We appreciate your best availability for when we or they let you know they are on their way.
Q: What happens if I’m not satisfied or my order is different or incomplete?
A: Please contact us as soon as you find something odd in your order. Do not return it to the motorcycle delivery guy. Let us first process a request via our support (WhatsApp or e-mail).
Q: How much is the delivery fee?
A: We charge a $2 flat rate for any delivery made within the urban Cuenca. Special offers might offer free shipping under certain conditions.
Q: Can you deliver outside of the urban Cuenca?
A: We can, but all orders to be delivered to areas outside the urban Cuenca (beyond a 5-10 KM extension/range around the historic downtown) will incur in additional shipping fees up to $10. Any area beyond the $10 fee (by our delivery guys) will be considered outside our area of service. We will be glad to receive any feedback about this in order to eventually find ways to provide food to you.
Q: Are there any chances of delays?
A: Yes, there can be sometimes obstacles which prevents us from delivering right after 6:00 PM, and sometimes that same day. If we need to postpone the delivery for the next day for any reason, we will contact you as soon as we can to let you know and ask you if you are good with that. We appreciate your patience while we improve our logistics to a nearly-flawless one. With your help we’ll be able to get there, and thus become a huge support for local organic farmers!
